Korea ARC Photo Maker (3.5×4.5 cm)
An ARC (외국인등록증, residence card) photo is a 3.5×4.5 cm colour photo on a white background, face 2.5–3.5 cm long, taken within the last 6 months. Upload your photo and we crop it to that size and check it.
Your photo never leaves this device. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded. The immigration office or embassy makes the final decision on whether the photo is accepted.

How to apply for an ARC
Foreigners staying in Korea for more than 90 days must register. Book a visit on HiKorea and apply at the immigration office for your area.
- Book a visit on HiKorea (hikorea.go.kr) for the immigration office that covers your address.
- Bring your passport, the application form, one 3.5×4.5 cm photo and proof of address, plus any documents your visa type needs.
- The fee and extra documents depend on your status, so check HiKorea or call the Immigration Contact Center at 1345 before you go.
- Many offices have photo booths nearby, but a printed photo from Sajinpass on 4×6 paper cut to 3.5×4.5 cm works the same.

ARC photo FAQ
What size is the Korean ARC photo?
3.5×4.5 cm, the same as a passport photo. The face from the top of the head to the chin should be 2.5–3.5 cm long, on a plain or white background, taken within 6 months.
Can I wear glasses in my ARC photo?
Sunglasses and anything that covers your face are not allowed. Clear glasses are generally fine if your eyes are clearly visible and there is no glare on the lenses. Follow the immigration officer's decision.
Some guides say the ARC photo is 3×4 cm. Which is right?
The Korea Immigration Service page lists a passport-size 3.5×4.5 cm photo. Some university guides still mention 3×4 cm. If you are unsure, bring a 3.5×4.5 cm photo or ask your immigration office.
Can I use this for an ARC renewal or reissue?
Yes. Renewals and reissues ask for the same 3.5×4.5 cm white-background photo. Print the 4×6 file at a photo shop or kiosk and cut along the lines.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Face detection, cropping and the files are all made in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device.
