K-ETA: do I need a photo file?
If you can enter Korea without a visa, you apply for a K-ETA online instead, and the form asks you to attach a face photo. Apply only on the official site or app.
- Apply on k-eta.go.kr or the official K-ETA app. The fee is KRW 10,000, and similar-looking agency sites charge more.
- The application asks for a face photo. The official site does not publish a pixel size, so follow the size shown on the upload screen.
- Some nationalities are temporarily exempt from K-ETA. Check the notices on the official site before applying.

What size is a Korean visa photo?
3.5×4.5 cm (35×45 mm), a colour photo of your face from the front on a white background, taken within 6 months.
Is the Korean visa photo the same as the ARC photo?
Yes, both are 3.5×4.5 cm white-background photos from the Ministry of Justice immigration service, so the same photo works for both. This page uses the ARC face size of 2.5–3.5 cm.

Use white. The embassy guidance asks for a white background, and other colours can be refused.
Do I need a photo for K-ETA?
Yes, the K-ETA application asks you to attach a face photo. Apply only at k-eta.go.kr or the official app.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser and your photo never leaves your device.
